The sound of climate change is piercing

Dargan Frierson and Judy Twedt, UW atmospheric scientists and dedicated participants of C3, have set global temperatures to a frenzied beat. They translated average temperatures for each of the last 136 years into a musical score, a process called “sonification.” The result is a catchy but unsettling melody that rises to a shrieking pitch, given the last three years have been the warmest on record.
